HTFC are delighted to announce the double signing of striker Danny Newton and defender George Carline from Brackley Town.

Danny is a proven striker who scores goals wherever he has been and is known for his hard work on and off the ball and will be a welcome addition to the Bees, lending his experience and knowhow around the squad. The Striker’s former clubs include Stevenage, Boreham Wood, Solihull Moors, Tamworth and latterly with Brackley Town, where last season he helped the Northamptonshire Club gain promotion to the National League. Manager Mitch Austin commented; We are absolutely delighted to get a deal done with Danny, he is a defenders nightmare and scores goals. It was an area of the pitch that we identified at the end of last season, that needed strengthening. He will compliment our other forward players. He has had a great career so far and we hope that this will continue with us.”

George was part of the Brackley Town team that won promotion to the National League last season and was also voted into the National League North Team of the Year for 2024/25. George’s previous clubs include Chesterfield, Gloucester City, Solihull Moors, Leamington, Hednesford Town and Redditch, as well of course as Brackley Town. Manager Mitch Austin added; George is a versatile defender who will give us excellent options across the back line. His experience will be invaluable to help us push on at the right end of the table. Adding George to our already announced retained list gives us a fantastic base from which to build.”

We warmly welcome both to the BeeHive!
