Harborough Town Football Club can confirm that Ben Stephens will leave the Bees ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Joining the club back in June 2024 ahead of our first season at Step 3, Ben arrived at the Beehive with an impressive pedigree across the non-league pyramid and quickly became an important part of Mitch Austin’s squad.

A striker with strong technical quality and an eye for goal, Ben played a key role across the last two seasons, contributing important goals and experience as the Bees continued to move forward, both on and off the pitch.

During his time at the Beehive, Ben made 86 appearances and scored 37 goals in all competitions, including 25 goals during the 2024/25 season, before adding a further 12 goals during the 2025/26 title-winning campaign as Harborough Town secured promotion to the National League North.

Ben also played an important role in the club’s historic Emirates FA Cup run during the 2024/25 season, scoring 5 goals as the Bees reached the Second Round Proper for the first time in club history.

Among the standout moments from that run were the winning penalty in the 1-0 Fourth Qualifying Round victory over Bury, which secured Harborough Town’s place in the First Round Proper for the very first time, and later a brace in the memorable 4-1 victory over Tonbridge Angels under the lights in Essex.

During the 2025/26 season, Ben continued to contribute important goals at key moments and, throughout his time in Yellow and Black, played a vital part in one of the most successful periods in the club’s history, contributing goals, experience and professionalism across two memorable seasons.

Everyone at Harborough Town would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Ben for his efforts and contribution during his time at the football club.

We wish Ben and his family nothing but success for the future and Stevo, you’ll always be welcome back at the Beehive 💛
