Harborough Town Football Club are pleased to announce the appointment of Ricky Marheineke as Director of Football.
Ricky joins the Bees following more than 12 years as first-team manager of St Ives Town, where he oversaw almost 600 matches.
Appointed in 2014, he guided St Ives to promotion through the Southern League Division One Central play-offs in 2016. The club went on to spend ten seasons at Step 3 under his management and achieved its first top-ten finish at that level in 2023/24.
The appointment reunites Ricky with Bees manager Mitch Austin, who joined his coaching staff as assistant manager in summer 2020. Having since faced one another from opposing dugouts, the pair will work together again at the Beehive.
As Director of Football, Ricky will work closely with the first-team management and club leadership on recruitment strategy, player development and the club’s longer-term plans on the pitch.
His appointment strengthens the club’s footballing foundations as the Bees look to build on their recent progress and continue to establish themselves at Step 2.
