Harborough Town  2

Biggleswade Town 0  Luis Rose (30′)  Alex Morris (63′)

Two second half minutes shaped the result as Harborough Town followed up their dramatic late winner last time out with a win against bottom of the pile Biggleswade Town.

The visitors started the game with plenty of attacking intent as chances from Callum Wilson and Daniel Izekor tested Elliott Taylor in the Harborough net, but it was the Bees who would go on to deliver the first sting.

Luis Rose met Ben Stephens’ pass in the box and slotted the ball under the onrushing Jack Berman to give the hosts the lead at the break.

After Taylor was forced into another smart stop, denying Cyrus Babale-Gumbs from close range, Harborough were on top and saw opportunities through Stephens, Jutorre Burgess and Riley O’Sullivan as the hosts pressed to double their advantage.

That advantage could have been wiped out at the start of a frantic two minutes as Obidinma Onyeagwara placed the ball on the penalty spot, but Taylor emphatically parried the penalty away to the delight of the home faithful.

Their delight would turn to ecstasy a minute later as a mix up at the back for the Waders saw Alex Morris nod the ball into the back of an empty net to score the goal that the home side craved.

The Bees went on to enjoy further chances from Rose and O’Sullivan but the scoreline did not change for the rest of the proceedings as Harborough collected all three points.
