Club Announcement – Bill Ireland
Harborough Town Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Bill Ireland, who passed away last night.
Bill was a dedicated supporter of the Bees and the grandfather of former player Paddy Ireland.
Even at nearly 90 years of age, he rarely missed a match, and his unwavering commitment, loyalty and passion for the football club over many years will always be remembered.
Bill would have celebrated his 90th birthday in just two weeks’ time and had been looking forward to marking the occasion on the day of our home fixture against Morecambe.
Bill was a familiar and much-loved figure around the Beehive, and he will be greatly missed by all those connected with Harborough Town Football Club.
Everyone at the club sends their sincere condolences to Bill’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
