Harborough Town FC Sign Exciting Young Shot-Stopper Jake Laban 🐝
Harborough Town FC are delighted to confirm the signing on contract of goalkeeper Jake Laban from Corby Town, with the 22-year-old putting pen to paper at the Beehive.
A highly regarded and talented young shot-stopper, Laban arrives having already built strong senior experience, making over 50 first-team appearances and recording 20 clean sheets at Step 4 across the past two seasons with Hinckley Leicester Road and Corby Town.
Seen as a goalkeeper with significant potential, the move reflects the Bees continued commitment to identifying and investing in emerging talent.
To further support his development, Laban will go out on loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, allowing him to continue gaining regular first-team football experience and with a view to him returning to the Beehive ready to compete and contribute in the future.
Manager Mitch Austin spoke to HTFC Media following the signing:
“Jake is one of the most talented young goalkeepers around and we are really happy to have him on board.
Initially Jake will continue his development on loan to gain valuable experience to further his career.
Jake attracted interest from a number of clubs at Steps 2, 3 and 4, but the project we’re building at Harborough and our ambition to move forward really appealed to him. He can see where the club is going, and I’m sure our ambitions match his.”
Welcome to the Beehive, Jake! 🙌
