Harborough Town FC Sign Experienced Defender Rory McAuley 🐝
Harborough Town FC are delighted to confirm the signing of defender Rory McAuley, who joins the Bees ahead of the second half of the 2025/26 season.
The experienced centre-back arrives at the Beehive after most recently playing for Corby Town, bringing with him a wealth of experience from across the non-league game. McAuley has made over 200 appearances in the National League, underlining his pedigree at a high level of the non-league pyramid.
Rory has previously represented clubs including Peterborough Sports, King’s Lynn Town, Dartford, Chelmsford City and Cambridge United, and has also earned representative honours at international level, having featured for England C during the 2012/13 Season against Russia U21’s.
A commanding and organised presence at the back, McAuley adds further experience and leadership to the Bees’ defensive unit as the squad prepares for the challenges ahead in the second half of the season.
Manager Mitch Austin spoke to HTFC Media following the signing:
“Rory is an experienced, commanding centre half that I am delighted to have on board as we go into the second half of a tough season.
Once we knew Rory was available we moved quickly as we knew a few clubs at Step 3 were also looking at him, we are delighted we managed to secure his services for what I am sure will be an exciting run in.
I would like to thank Corby Town for their help in making this happen so quickly.”
McAuley will be available for selection when the Bees return to action on Saturday 27th December, as Harborough Town welcome Kettering Town to the Beehive.
Welcome to the Beehive, Rory! 🙌
