A dominant performance from Harborough Town Women with a resounding 7-0 victory over Hinckley Ladies on Sunday afternoon.
Star striker, Jess Seaton, delivered a remarkable four-goal performance extending her lead as the division’s top scorer by four goals over Hinckley’s Emma Carpenter. Harborough’s scoring spree included contributions from some new names on the sheet this season including new signing, Chloe Maitland, who opened the scoring with a stunning free kick, and central defender, Sara Lonsdale, who headed home a Scarlett Godefroy corner. A header from Dom Ratcliffe-McClelland, just two minutes after coming on, following a pinpoint cross from winger Honour Slater, capped off the game at 7 goals to nil. Harborough’s defence remained solid throughout neutralizing Hinckley’s threats with relative ease. Stepping up for the team, Kylie Fromant played out of position as goalkeeper and delivered a standout performance. Her crucial saves and ability to command the area were instrumental in securing a clean sheet for the team and earned her POTM. The team now looks forward to continuing their push up the table with an exciting clash against Leicester United on Sunday 26th.
