Player Profile
Callum Powell is one of the Bees newest recruits. The 30-year-old winger crossed counties from local rivals Kettering Town this year. Powell spent most of his junior career moving through the Northampton Town Academy until 2014. He then travelled to Canada and joined the football programme at Simon Fraser University. After some time on the other side of the pond, Powell returned to England, subsequently making his senior non-league debut for Rugby Town. The former Cobbler then earnt the opportunity to play National League football with Wrexham. Records state that Powell made 26 competitive appearances for the side and scored 2 goals.
In the years to follow, Powell has had a variety of spells throughout the non-league system. The journeymen has gained experience at Tamworth, Stourbridge, Buxton, and many others. However, Callum Powell was truly established as a prolific goalscorer during his first spell with Kettering Town. He made 35 appearances and scored an impressive 19 goals. The club described his time with them as sensational. This attracted higher level clubs such as Southend United and Powell left Kettering as their leading goalscorer in the 2021/22 season. A memorable moment for Powell at Southend United was his September Goal of the Month against Chesterfield in 2022.
Moving on, Callum Powell joined Step 2 side Harborough Town in the summer of 2026. His first goal for the Bees came against Darlington in a 4-2 victory. Powell came off the bench in the 68th minute and scored the fourth in the 95th. He secured all three points after capping the late comeback. The left footed winger also had a significant part to play in Harborough Town’s dramatic FA Cup win over St Alban’s City. He was thrown into the game early after Britt Assombalonga was forced off due to injury. Powell is sure to continue through the season bringing more goals and physicality to the attack.
