Walsh

Josh Walsh (Walshy) has become one of Harborough Town’s longest serving players. After progressing through Leicester City’s Academy, Walshy joined the side as an aspiring 17-year-old. Fast forward to 2026 and the Leicestershire lad has recorded over 250 appearances for the club. Josh Walsh has been a very consistent and versatile first team player during his time at Harborough Town. He is comfortable operating in both the midfield and defence.

The now 26-year-old has been an integral part of Harborough Town’s progression through the non-league pyramid. Under manager Mitch Austin, Walshy has helped the side through three promotions. From UCL (United Counties League) champions in 21/22 to entering the National League North in 2026, the loyal left footer has written his name in the Bees history books with his commitment to the club leading to one of our most successful eras.

Last season Walshy was the only player who featured in every single fixture during our title winning campaign. Although he’s not Harborough Town’s regular captain, Josh Walsh has stepped up to lead the team when called upon. He was trusted by staff and teammates to captain the side when Connor Kennedy dealt with a few injury spells. His longevity and leadership qualities have not gone unnoticed as Walshy was awarded Club Player of the Season in 21/22 and Players’ Player of the Season in 24/25.
