Player Profile

Rory McAuley (also known as Scorey McAuley) made his switch in 2025, travelling 10 miles down the road from Corby Town. The experienced centre-back has been a commanding presence for the backline ever since joining the Bees. McAuley was brought in for his leadership qualities and to become the senior figure for his fellow defenders to rely on.

Rory McAuley has had spells at clubs across the football league. He began his senior career in League Two where he spent 6 years at Cambridge United. During this time, he earned his England C honours and was selected as England C’s starting right-back against Russia U21s. He then had experience at a variety of clubs at Step 2 such as Dartford, Chelmsford City and Kings Lynn Town. He even won the National League North title with King’s Lynn Town in 2019.

After spending roughly 10 years playing Step 2 football, McAuley moved to Corby Town in 2024 in the Southern Premier Central League. The journeyman then left in search of greener grass and arrived at the Beehive in the latter stages of the 25/26 season. Since being at the club, Scorey McAuley has recorded over 20 appearances and has scored 3 goals. This certainly helped the Bees make it over the finish line to secure last season’s top spot. Having played over 200 National League games, it is clear that McAuley will continue to be a consistent asset in the defensive half of the pitch.
