Osborne

Sam Osborne (Ozzy) is one of the newest additions to the Bees. He made the switch to Harborough Town after being on a season long loan at Hereford. The 27-year-old midfielder has buckets of experience throughout the football league. His youth career started at Dunkirk where he stayed on to make his senior debut with the club.

After making 12 senior appearances for his boyhood club, Sam Osborne had the opportunity to transfer to League Two side, Notts County. This was very convenient for him, having played at the academy there and being from Nottingham himself. Ozzy made 17 appearances for the Magpies with a few loan spells in between. Years later, the journeyman used his higher-level experience to thrive in the National League system. Sam Osborne scored 15 league goals in 50 appearances for National League North side, Buxton. This prior breadth of experience meant that it was a no-brainer for Mitch Austin to bring him into the side.

During the earlier phases of his career, Sam Osborne has been rewarded with some memorable accolades. He won two Player of the Season awards with Notts County before joining Leamington in 2020. Moreover, whilst playing for AFC Fylde, Ozzy was awarded National League North Player of the Month. These all prove how much of a reliable figure he has and will continue to be for the Bees in their journey at Step 2.
