Player Profile

Silvio (Silv) Bello is another one of our newest Bees. The 23-year-old joined the Market town team in July 2026 from fellow Leicestershire side Quorn FC. Silvio’s career began with Nottingham Forest as he came through their academy from under 9s level all the way until the age of 18. He then took the opportunity to spend some time playing abroad. The youngster travelled to Spanish side CD Almunecar City to develop his game further. This is where Bello learned his third language (alongside English and Italian).

After a year in Spain, the fullback returned to England and joined Nottingham side, Ilkeston Town. This was his first taste of non-league football, playing in the Southern Premier Central. Dempsey Arlott-John was also at Ilkeston during the 2022/23 season which is where a link to Harborough Town was formed. Silv admitted he didn’t get much game time at Ilkeston, but it was certainly a learning curve which prepared him for his move to Quorn. The versatile defender joined Quorn in the back-end of 22/23 season, helping them to get over the edge and reach the play offs. In his first full season with the club, he made 39 appearances and scored a vital header against Bedworth United to push for promotion.

Following 137 appearances, 7 goals, and a Supporters Player of the Season award, Silvio left Quorn and arrived at the Beehive. Silvio was a significant signing for the Bees as he was the first signing made as a National League North club. He came to the club labelled as a battle-ready defender, who is strong in 1v1s and is versatile at the back. His impressive marauding runs and attacking pace have been very admirable to Harborough Town. Silvio has been a regular starter this season in and around the backline with a standout performance in Harborough Town’s 2-1 win over Marine.
