Leicestershire League – Division 2
HTFC Women 6 (Jess Seaton 5’, 14’, 22’, 39’, 49’, 55’)
Leicester City Devs 2 (16’, 37’)

HTFC Women entertained their home crowd on Sunday with a commanding 6-2 victory over Leicester City Devs, putting on a show in front of what looked to be their biggest audience of the season so far.

Fans were treated to a confident display of teamwork as HTFC took control from the outset. HTFC’s prolific striker, Jess Seaton, was unstoppable, scoring a stunning double hat-trick and firmly cementing her status as the league’s top scorer. Leicester City Devs fought back with goals in the 16th and 37th minutes, bringing the half-time score to 4-2, but HTFC’s continued pressure and effective player rotations kept the home team firmly in control of the game, allowing them to extend their lead comfortably in the second half.

Player of the Match honours went to Bethan Mercer, who made a remarkable debut. Her resilience and keen defensive awareness in the backline were crucial, breaking up Leicester’s attacks and helping HTFC maintain attacking momentum.

Next up is the quarter final of the League Cup on Sunday where HTFC Women face Division 1 team, East Goscote, away from home.
