Following yesterday’s minor altercation between 6 to 8 so-called supporters at our match with Halesowen Town FC, Harborough Town will be reviewing the incident over the next 24 hours and anyone from Harborough Town who is found to be involved will be subject to a club disciplinary process following which the Board will take the appropriate action. Video evidence from both clubs will be reviewed and we will work closely with Halesowen Town FC to identify these half a dozen or so individuals who tried to ruin a great afternoon enjoyed by the majority.
Harborough Town FC fully condemn this type of behaviour and will not tolerate this within our grounds. We would like to also put on record our huge thanks to our stewards who moved very quickly to diffuse the incident and we are also grateful to the Halesowen supporters for their restraint and help in also helping to calm the situation. We hope that the incident, which as we say was extremely quickly dealt with by our stewards, did not ruin the enjoyment for the majority, of what was a hard-fought contest between two top teams.
We would also like to apologise to both our own supporters and those from Halesowen Town FC for any distress this may have caused, and with the exception of these 6 or 8 individuals from a crowd of in excess of 1,000, that both sets of supporters behaved impeccably.
Football Board of Harborough Town FC.
