Harborough Town Appoint Gary Setchell as Director of Football 🐝
Harborough Town Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Gary Setchell as our new Director of Football.
Gary brings extensive experience from across the non-league game, both as a former professional player and a highly respected football leader in the dugout.
During his playing career, he featured in the Football Conference with clubs including Rushden & Diamonds and Kettering Town before making the transition into management.
He went on to build an impressive managerial career, most notably spending seven years at King’s Lynn Town, where he led the club for more than 380 matches and secured two promotions during a sustained period of progression. His sides were also competitive in national competitions, reaching the latter stages of both the FA Vase and FA Trophy.
Further success followed at Bedford Town, where he delivered a league title, before continuing to challenge at the top end of the table with Corby Town, reaching the play-off final last season.
In his new role at Harborough Town, Gary will work closely with the first-team management and club leadership to shape recruitment strategy, support player development and align the club’s long-term footballing vision with its ambitions on the pitch.
This appointment reflects the club’s commitment to continued progression and strengthening the football structure as we look to build on recent seasons.
Please join us in welcoming Gary to the Beehive.
