Harborough Town will face Spennymoor Town FC at the Beehive in the Fourth Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup following today’s draw.
The Bees’ FA Cup journey continues after dramatically beating St Albans City on Saturday, thanks to Dempsey Arlott-John’s perfect hat-trick. The reward is another home tie, this time against fellow National League North side Spennymoor Town.
Another home tie certainly won’t raise many complaints from anyone with a Harborough allegiance, and importantly, The Bees are now just one win away from reaching the First Round Proper for the first time since the 2024/25 season. The FA Cup always brings an extra buzz to the Beehive, so let’s hope this season’s run can continue.
Spennymoor Town currently sit 23rd in the National League North with seven points this season. However, newly appointed manager Peter Hartley did taste victory in his first game in charge against fellow division side Chester FC to progress to this round. A Danny Johnson hat-trick and a landmark goal from Glen Taylor on his 450th Moors appearance sealed a 4–1 victory.
This will be The Moors’ third FA Cup tie this campaign after entering in the Second Qualifying Round, where they travelled to Emley AFC and emerged 4-0 victors; they then hosted Chester FC and kept their free-scoring cup run alive with a 4-1 victory. They’ll hope to extend their FA Cup run as they travel to the Beehive, but The Bees will take confidence from the fact that Spennymoor’s only away win this season came in the Second Qualifying Round at Emley. Meanwhile, The Bees have lost just once at home all campaign.
The fixture is provisionally scheduled for the weekend of the 17th October, with ticket information available to view on this link.
Elsewhere in the draw, a couple of ties Bees fans may want to keep an eye on. AFC Rushden & Diamonds will host Morecambe, and Ansty Nomads will travel to Macclesfield.
