Harborough Town headed over the border into Northamptonshire for a local derby at Corby Town, on a day that saw an impeccably observed minute’s silence for Mr Corby Town, Gerry Lucas.

The first of the afternoon for The Bees on 14 after a clearance from Rhys Kelly found James Ireland in space on the edge of the box and he strolled towards the advancing keeper and slotted it home. Twenty minutes later it was two after a Josh Walsh cross-field pass found a galloping Dan Cooper who took the ball past the defender and tucked the ball inside the keepers near post. A third arrived seconds before half time as Rhys Hoenes, who was a constant menace to the hosts, evaded the offside and saw his shot come back off the post to a waiting Ethan Johnston who calmly passed the ball into the net. The second half started like the first with James Ireland looping a ball down the right channel for Hoenes who stepped outside the defender on the edge of the box and his looping cross found its way to Joel Carta who jinked through the Corby challenges and poked the ball home. Harborough Town controlled the rest of the half in a dominant display.
