Asfordby Amateurs First  13
Harborough Town Women  0

Harborough Town Women faced a tough challenge in the first round of the County Cup, falling to a 13-0 defeat against a strong Asfordby Amateurs side, who play two leagues above our Bees. The match was made even more difficult by illness and injuries that left Harborough Town with a depleted squad.

Despite the final scoreline, Harborough Town Women put in a resilient performance, showing determination and spirit throughout the match. Even without the home advantage, the team battled well against their higher-tier opponents, proving their competitive edge after just seven games together as a team.

A special mention goes to Jess Seaton, who earned Player of the Match for her versatility in taking on multiple positions during the game and her leadership from the front on the pitch.

Well done to Asfordby Amateurs for their performance, and a big thank you to them for hosting us. We wish them all the best in the next round and beyond.

Harborough Town Women will return to league action next week, where they’ll be looking to build on their early-season form and secure a win after their draw with Brookside earlier this month.
