Harborough Town recovered from conceding early to defeat Walsall Wood as two second half goals turned the game on its head.

Carter Lycett’s teasing cross for the visitors was nodded home at the far post by Kevin Monteiro while the Bees were slow to get going in rainy conditions.

As the sun came out early in the second half, so did Harborough; a flurry of chances from Dodzi Agbenu and Paul Malone proving to be a sign of things to come.

The hosts continued knocking on the door and found the breakthrough as Josh Walsh’s daisy-cutter from the edge of the box bulged the back of the net via the inside of the post.

The turnaround would then be complete soon after as Rhys Hoenes earned the Bees a spot kick in which Ben Williams converted clinically beyond the stretching Keiran Boucher to secure all three points for the home side.
