League leaders Harborough Town continued their promotion push with a sixth consecutive league win as the Bees defeated Bedworth United.

After chances fell for both teams in the opening stages, the hosts were given the opportunity to open the scoring from the penalty spot, but Liam O’Brien dived to his left to keep out Tendai Daire’s powerful effort.

Daire would make amends soon after as the forward beat O’Brien to a loose back pass before slotting the ball into an empty net to put his side ahead.

Liam Murphy stung the palms of Elliott Taylor as the visitors looked to get back into the game, but Harborough pressed to double their advantage through efforts from Jordon Crawford and Alex Morris.

The second goal would come with 15 minutes left on the clock as Josh Walsh rode challenges on the edge of the box before a kind bounce allowed him to thunder a volley into the top corner to seal all three points.
