Harborough Town notched their eighth consecutive victory with a 2-0 win over Hinckley LRFC in front of a bumper crowd to continue their push for promotion.

The Bees began brightly and found an early opener as Luis Rose’s superb chip over the keeper kissed the crossbar, only for Jordon Crawford to tap home at the far post.

Rose would go on to strike the woodwork once more as Harborough looked to double their advantage, with chances from Josh Walsh and Tendai Daire just missing the target.

Hinckley grew into the game following the break as Elliott Taylor was called into action to deny Ben Humphreys’ point blank header before superbly saving a second Humphreys effort as the away side pushed for an equaliser.

This granted the Bees space in behind on the counter attack, something they exploited as Jordan Nicholson was sent clear only to find Rose in the centre of the area who stroked the ball under Will Highland to secure all three points late on.
