Harborough Town hit Quorn for five as the Bees emphatically maintain top spot with only two matches of the season remaining.

Luis Rose opened the scoring for the hosts within 10 minutes as the forward latched onto a Jake Duffy through ball before finishing past Charlie Woods with an instinctive overhead kick.

Harborough would go on to create more chances as they pushed to double their advantage, with Connor Kennedy’s header striking the crossbar and Dodzi Agbenu’s driven shot cleared off the line, but it was Alex Morris who rifled the ball home to put the hosts in the driving seat.

Quorn gained some momentum and looked to get themselves back into the game with efforts from Courey Grantham and Tyree Wilson either side of half time but the next goal would go to the Bees after a second Rose goal seemingly sealed the points for the hosts.

Harborough pushed to further the advantage as a powerful Kennedy strike was kept out well by the strong hand of Woods, but there was nothing that the Quorn keeper could do as Luca Miller let fly from distance, with the ball nestling into the corner of the net.

Not content with the four goals, a bullet header from Tendai Daire only added to the superior goal difference that the Bees possess as Harborough put themselves in a strong position as the season nears its conclusion.
