Harborough Town FC are delighted to announce the re-signing of Tendai Daire.

Tendai was part of the 2021/22 squad that won the UCL gaining promotion to the Northern Premier League Midlands Division. However, after suffering an bucket-handle meniscal tear injury that kept him out of football for nearly a year, Tendai returned to the UCL with Aylestone Park to regain fitness. This season Tendai played twice against the Bees for Hinckley Leicester Road FC and leads the goal-scoring charts in the NPL Midlands Division with 20 league goals so far this season.

On re-signing a much admired player, bees manager Mitch Austin; “we know what Tendai is about, he scores goals! Both he and the club feel he has unfinished business due to the horrendous injury suffered in early 2022. He has worked really hard to regain his fitness and sharpness and we just felt it was the right time to get him back. His goals speak for themselves, he knows the club really well and I am sure he will fit in seamlessly.”

Subject to league ratification Tendai will go straight into the squad to face Cambridge City on Tuesday night. We club would like to thank HLRFC for their help with this transfer.
