The 3-0 home win on Saturday v Rugby brought the curtain down on another season. The League table sees us finish 11th as per the last 3 seasons but with our best points tally per game as the League was reduced from 30 to 22 teams this season. Aaron Preston finished the season with 25 goals the 5th highest in the league, our average gate was 98.95 up 25% on last season we thank you all for your support. The Reserves finished 7th and Josh King netted 30 times the 2nd highest in the league. 5 players – Alex Morris, Ben Bekavac, James Knowles, Tom Cockings & Calum Watts stepped up from the Reserves to the 1st team and all retained their places and 8 other Reserves were included on a match day teams sheet, which is a testament that we’re doing things the right way. Finally who can forget the senior citizens of the Club the Vets who finished 3rd in their League and also won the county cup for the 2nd time in 3 seasons.
