Saad Hamrad, who was voted Supporters’ Player of the Season for 2025/26, departs after playing 31 games during the Young Bees’ double-winning campaign. Saad has moved on to a Step 4 club, a move which was planned by the club to continue promoting his development and progression within the game.

Nazir Mohammed was unfortunately unable to make an appearance for the U21s after suffering a knee injury which ruled him out for the entire season. Nazir now moves on seeking opportunities for regular game time as he continues his recovery and development.
Adebola Adeniran leaves the club after two successful seasons with the Young Bees and has joined a Step 5 club in pursuit of more regular playing opportunities following a memorable spell with Harborough Town U21s.
Connor Bernhardt and Martin Tsvetkov both depart having played pivotal roles for the U21s, with both players now moving on to Step 4 clubs.
Martin also gained experience with the First Team during his time at the club, including appearances during the club’s pre-season tour in Spain.
Both players enjoyed hugely successful campaigns during the 2025/26 season and leave with the best wishes of everyone connected with the football club.
Kekeli Fometu leaves the club as he relocates to the USA to continue both his football journey and studies, after playing a big role in what proved to be another successful season for the Young Bees.
U21 Head Coach Josh Unsworth said:
“It’s never easy saying goodbye to players but due to ages for most, they’ve had to move on.”
I’ve coached Reece since he was 13 years of age, he’s been a manager’s dream. To see Saad, Connor, Martin all move to Step 4 clubs is something I’m super proud of, because it shows that we don’t just forget about them, we do actively look at clubs for them to continue their development and their footballing journey. It’s super important we look after our boys.
I wish them all the very best and it was truly my honour to coach every single one of them.”
