Harborough Town 1 (O’Sullivan 76’ pen)
AFC Telford United 2 (Walker 31’, Dinanga 84’)

Harborough Town were denied at the death as a late Ricardo Dinanga header saw AFC Telford United claim all three points.

After an early blocked effort from Harborough’s Riley O’Sullivan and a header wide of the post from Paul Malone, the away side grew into the game and created chances of their own, with Dinanga also seeing an effort blocked before Remi Walker tested Elliott Taylor with a freekick.

Taylor was called into action once more, deflecting Dinanga’s shot onto the crossbar, but there was nothing that the shot-stopper could do as Walker got his freekick right on the second attempt and rifled the ball low into the bottom corner to give his side the lead at the break.

The Bees responded well following the half time interval and came close to finding a leveller through Ben Stephens’, but his header was just wide of the mark.

A matter of inches came between the Bucks and a second goal as Dinanga saw his effort hit the crossbar but soon after, Harborough found themselves level as O’Sullivan made no mistake from the penalty spot after sustained pressure from the home side.

Telford, buoyed from the setback, got their noses back in front late on as Dinanga diverted his header into the back of the net in front of the travelling support.

The hosts thought they got a second leveller of the game as Alex Morris slotted home, but the offside flag ruled out the effort as Telford survived to secure all three points.
