Harborough Town FC is a well-established football club with a rich history, a bright future and a passion for the game. We are excited to announce that we have two positions available at the club.

Role: FOOTBALL ADMINISTRATOR (full-time employed)

Role Purpose:
The intention is to migrate all administrative activities for Youth Football to this role holder. The role holder will then provide administrative support to the footballing operation of the club and requires close cooperation between the role holder’s line manager and the Director of Youth Football. The core responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and control of mandatory coaching courses, essential to retention of 3-star accreditation. To provide board of trustees, a monthly exceptions report for those not up to date.
  • Maintaining and issuance of parents and coaching guidebooks – ensuring guides are up to date and seeking to convert static documents into online ‘self-serve’ resources for coaches and parents.
  • Maintenance of ‘Wholegame’ player database, adding new players and cleansing departing players from club and ensuring is kept fully up to date.
  • Managing the kit orders across Community and ETP teams, involving the clarification of orders, the placement of orders and communicating estimated delivery times to customers.
  • Managing the order and distribution of medical kits – carefully controlling inventory and avoiding excessive stock, relative to what is needed.
  • Managing player fines, being responsible for recovery of all player fines from parents. To highlight outstanding recovery via a monthly exceptions report to Board of Trustees.
  • Managing the registration of all Youth players within the league system and FA.
  • To support the role holder’s line manager with the collection of player subscriptions at peak times of year. To drive efficiency of how this handled by continued review of processes.
  • To support with the preparation of presentation documents by the role holder’s line manager and Director of Youth Football.
  • To prepare and submit stories to the club’s media team and managing these through to publication stage.

Location: Hybrid – 50% Harborough Town FC (facilities-based) / 50% home-based.

Role: CLUB SECRETARY & MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES (voluntary role)

Role Overview:
As the Club Secretary, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth administrative operations, supporting the club’s management team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills, a passion for football, and a desire to contribute to the success of the club.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all club meetings, activities, and documents.
  • Prepare and distribute agendas and minutes for meetings of the Board of Directors and other club committees.
  • Handle administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, organizing events, and managing club communications

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or secretarial role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Passion for football, Harborough Town and commitment to the values of the club.
